No day no night...
I was so caught up with my new training development and falling sick at the same time...
Not long after my last entry, I was down with sore throat... Then it escalated to a cough....From there on, running nose and full blown flu set in....
Normally I would take my own sweet time and visit the shitty commercial company Dr below my office.... To be honest, he is only good for MC, sucks for making you well on the first visit and prescription.
In sales, it's call 'pulling in repeat sales'...
But as a professional Dr, though its unimaginable, but its not uncommon. Someone needs to pay his Merz, his 2 staff, rental and maybe his other lifestyles and properties too....
Well, that's life I suppose !
So about 9 days ago, I consulted my family GP. This is the one that would spend 10-15mins with you, check you out thoroughly, ask all the right questions and give you what is needed. This time round, I asked for anti-biotic but he refused me. He said its useless as it was a viral attack, let it runs its course and it will go away... But he gave me syrups and anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-histamines to keep me comfortable.
THAT'S THE WAY !!!....
Last week was very bad, both physically and work wise....
With poor health, and a ill prepared 1st session for manager level training, I guess I failed miserably.... My mind was not thinking properly, wasn't anticipating ahead, wasn't able to crystallize and connect from one module to the other.... Felt so lousy... I almost lost it there and then...
Then over the weekend, I started grinding over what could have gone wrong, how I could have done better and so on..... It was a stressful weekend, reflecting on the last week's delivery...
But it was worth the while...
Last Mon, had a long talk with my sup... I counter proposed some changes I felt could help in my delivery and execution.... She agreed and on Wed, during the 2nd run, I entered the ring with much higher confidence !
I walked out of that class that evening, a happier man, a happier trainer !!....
Just today, I had another meeting to finalized the package for the adviser's run. We iron out the scope and schedule...
I walked out of the office earlier, knowing that from next week till end May, its gonna be NO DAY NO NIGHT .....

Red Vs Yellow

"Supporters of ousted Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra attack a government vehicle after breaking through security at the interior ministry."
First was the huge protest at Pattaya Asean Summit... Resulted in a very embarrassing cancellation of the summit and the emergency evacuation of all the leaders with helicopters...
Today I woke up to the news of the pretty boy PM calling for a State of Emergency in Bangkok... Thanks to his ingenious idea of arresting the so-call leader of the red shirts that toppled the summit !!! His action was return with the red shirt invasion in BKK... (I thought his government would have learned from the past?...)
So for the whole of Sunday afternoon, I was following how the news unfold on CNA....
Scenes of the red shirts bashing the motorcades departing from the Interior Ministry and how another group of red shirts taken over tanks that mobilized on the streets of Bangkok, in the name of maintaining law and order.... All those videos kept playing over and over again the whole afternoon on CNA...
I find it so ironical that the present leadership is calling for the enforcement agencies and the military to maintain order, with the use of force if need be, so as to stop the red shirts in its tracks.
However they were the one that previously lead another protest and took over the airport and Government House, toppling the previous government in a similar manner, in yellow shirts....
Did the military or the police stopped them?...
Where are all the Yellow Shirts supporters now I wonder ?...
I pity the people in uniform now... so confused as to who to listen to and what to do or not to do... If they move in hard on order, their lives would be at dire risk !
Well.... what's my take.?
Our Pretty Boy give me the impression that he may be too soft to reign in the forces from both the Force and Dark Side to reinforce his position.....
IF he call in the fire power to maintain order, all hell will break lose !!!
Will 'Mr Orange' the powerful puppet master come home as promised IF force is used ?...
Will the King intervene ?...
I can't wait to see what happens next....
Guess Songkran is gonna be washout this year....
If I have the time, I'll personally fly into BKK to witness the action live !!!

Canada bus killer not accountable
Reporter was interviewing the mother of the victim....
She narrated in graphic details how her son was brutally murdered by a mad man....
Beheaded, lost eye balls and ears, presumably eaten by the killer and had all his organs gutted and bagged up.... ALL ON THE BUS that they were on...
The vitim's mom shared.....
Killer is free to go on grounds of mental illness... He is sentenced as NCR, Not Criminally Responsible... Which by Canadian Law, is innocent and the barbaric act is not on the books...
After treatment, the killer is free to roam the streets again... maybe in 1-5 years' time...
She is now fighting to rally a change in the Law to stop killers like Li to be locked up for life...
When I heard this news just now, it send shivers down my spine when I was driving.... Its just so inhumane....
Murder cum cannibalism...
Mad Chinaman !!!
Canada bus killer not accountable
Mr Li repeatedly stabbed Mr McLean before decapitating him |
A man who beheaded a fellow bus passenger is not criminally responsible due to mental illness, a Canadian judge has ruled.
Justice John Scurfield said Chinese immigrant Vince Li should not be held accountable for the killing last July.
The decision means Mr Li, 41, will be treated in a mental institution instead of going to prison.
The victim's family dismissed the trial as a "rubber stamp" that allows Mr Li to get away with murder.
Carol deDelley, mother of victim Tim McLean, said her son did not die in vain and that his death would highlight concerns about the justice system.
'Grotesque' attack
The judge called the attack "grotesque" and "barbaric" but "strongly suggestive of a mental disorder".
"He did not appreciate the actions he committed were morally wrong. He believed he was acting in self-defence," he said.
Mr Li admitted killing Mr McLean, 22, but pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the attack.
The prosecution and defence agreed that Mr Li, 41, is schizophrenic. The court heard that Mr Li had claimed that God had instructed him to kill Mr McLean.
The trial lasted less than two days and heard from just two witnesses, both psychiatrists, who testified Mr Li is mentally ill.
Dr Jonathan Rootenberg, for the defence, said Mr Li claimed to hear the voice of God telling him to kill Mr Mclean or risk being killed himself.
"The voice said: 'Do it now... If you don't, he's going to kill you'."
Mr Li tried to flee the bus through a window |
Dr Stanley Yaren, for the prosecution, said Mr Li was undergoing a major psychotic episode, including auditory hallucinations.
Furthermore, Mr Li believed his victim had supernatural powers and would come back to life if he did not cut him apart and spread his body parts around, Dr Yaren said.
The attack on 30 July last year took place in front of terrified passengers as the inter-city Greyhound bus travelled through Canada's vast prairies.
The court heard the details of the attack in a statement of fact agreed to by the prosecution and defence.
Mr Li, a former church custodian and computer programmer who emigrated to Canada in 2001, stabbed Mr McLean, who was sitting next to him, 50 or 60 times before cutting off his head and removing internal organs.
The attack began without warning. Alerted by screams from the victim, the driver stopped the bus and fled with the passengers as Mr Li continued his attack.
Body parts
Police documents said Mr Li appeared to "smell, and then eat parts of Tim McLean's flesh" as they surrounded him in the bus 90km (55 miles) west of Winnipeg.
Body parts were found in plastic bags throughout the bus and the victim's nose and tongue and one of his ears were found in Mr Li's pocket, police said.
Mr Li, who had been locked in the bus, was apprehended as he tried to leave by a window.
He was later heard in a pre-trial hearing to plead "please kill me".
Mr McLean's family want to change the law that allows people who are found not criminally responsible to be released into the community once they are deemed well without serving a minimum sentence in jail.
